The undisputed master of French «boiseries»

The most beautiful decors of style are recreated from  a collection of over 120 ancient complete room panelings and several thousands documents collected for more than one century

Headquartered close to the Place de l’Etoile in Paris, this famous firm specializes in antique wood paneling (boiseries) as well as the reproduction of paneling. A huge collection of documents (several thousands) enables to recreate the most prestigious decors whether antique or of style and provides ample material for the creativity and the search for elegance and prestige of ourvaluable customers : architects, interior designers and private clients.

The origins go back to 1875 with a collaboration with outstanding architects for the erection of prestigious residences (Palais Rose in Paris, Villa Ephrussi for Rothschild). The activity of large-scale decorative woodwork was then developped, together with the enlargment of the collection of period documents.

Decorative woodwork is now known worldwide  and  is on view at the Metropolitan Museum (NYC), at the Getty Museum (LA), and also in Tokyo, London, Hong Kong and Bangkok.

Savoir-faire and expertise

The international reputation of this house has been built upon the production of perfect reconstructions of ancient panelings able to attract  customers eager for exclusiveness, refinement and authenticity.

Creations : All projects respect the tradition of French decorative art by drawing extensively on the firm’s unique collection of documents and examples of decorative woodwork that have been put together all along  the years : over 120 complete room panelings dating from the 17th and 18th century, and from the French 1930s and 1940s by artists such as Eugène Printz, Jacques-Emile Ruhlmann, and Emilio Terry.

Execution : The studios execute decorative sets based on project designs. Paneling from the 18th century is restored to its original dimensions if necessary and completed according to its identical design. Perfect reconstructions are also scrupulously produced thanks to a team of highly qualified joiners, wood sculptors, gilders and painters who carefully select the best material and execute the order in tune with the practices of best French traditions.
