With a factory situated in the Aubusson area (Limousin region) and a showroom in the heart of Paris (« la galerie-boutique »),the company is proud to perpetuate the glory and renown of French expertise in a field which has, through countless masterpieces, helped set the pace for art throughout history.

In 2009, Unesco added Aubusson tapestry on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. As a defender of this priceless heritage, it is their duty to remain at the forefront of each new artistic movement and keep pace with the cutting edge of technology.

The manufactory collaborates with most inspirational designers and artists to create for worldwide decoraters and architects, rugs and tapestries that are precious and unique.

Tufted carpets

Wool and silk as well as linen, cotton and bamboo can be woven into velvet and loop pile, and into these, leather, vinyl, metallic threads and a whole lot of other materials can be added : raffia, hair, rubber, ribbons, precious metal ornaments, Murano glass beads and synthetic fibres…

All of the carpets and rugs use artisanal hand-tufting techniques.

Knot carpets

Used to offer scope for huge range of highly patterned details, this technique can achieve great complexity in terms of colours. taking inspiration from the vast wealth of archives.

Tapestries / ancient style & contemporary style

The factory creates the finest tapestries, including series of rare collector’s editions, according to the Aubusson traditions. From Calder to Othoniel, the factory has always been at the front line of each artistic movement.

Age-old weaving techniques and the highest quality materialsare used : « basse lisse » looms to produce manually tapestries and carpets and which enable the weaver to create very large-format tapestries, and are perfect for creating modern works.

Carpeting

From monochrome carpets to the most intricate patterns, whether hand-tufted or mechanically woven, carpets are created to meet any kind of request.
